API Access

You will first need access to the NOX Energy API. To receive this, follow the Authentication guide.

Choose your integration path

Whether you’re a manufacturer or an energy supplier or another EMS service, there are two ways to connect an asset type to NOX Energy:

1. New Asset Integration

You don’t yet have your own connection to an asset type (e.g. it’s managed by a third-party OEM). NOX Energy brokers the connection for you through our Authenticator UI.

2. Bring Your Own Connection

You already have an asset type integrated, you’re the OEM or you already run your own authentication for your users and want to share that existing connection with NOX Energy.

Anyone can use either path, pick the one that matches your current setup for the asset type you’re connecting. It’s also possible to use both paths at once for different asset types.
