Use this path when you already have a working connection to the asset type you want to bring onto NOX Energy. For example, you’re the OEM for the device, or you already run your own login/authentication for your users. There’s no need to send users through the NOX Authenticator UI. You tell NOX who the user is and we map them to your existing connection.
If you don’t yet have a connection to the asset type you want to support, see New Asset Integration instead. NOX Energy can broker that connection for you.

Because you already control the connection to the device, this is a single API call. There’s no redirect and no brand selection involved.
  1. Call our API with your internal user_id for the end-user.
  2. Done! NOX Energy resolves or creates a nox_user_id for that user and returns it in the response.

On a successful response, you will receive the resolved nox_user_id:
This endpoint only establishes the user_id ↔ nox_user_id mapping. Reach out to your NOX Energy integration contact to agree on how device data for this connection will be shared (e.g. push API, batch export). This is set up per manufacturer partnership.
